Shinobu Oshino a innocent girl by looks but a vampire in the inside is the sixth and final figure installment for the popular series Bakemonogatari by Good Smile Company. She comes at a time where it has already been more than a year when GSC released their first Bakemonogatari figure being Hitagi Senjougahara.
Like the rest of the figures, Her pose is kept faithful to the original Illustration picture drawn by Watanabe Akio which is the cover of the 6th and final volume for bu-ray of the anime series. She is seen seated on a pile of doughnuts which she adores very much, What you find on that mountain of doughnuts are various other trademark items from all the other characters in the series, Can you guess and find them? She has a cute expression across her face as she stares ahead with a doughnut in her mouth. The whole figure is filled with highlights for fans of the series and is certainly one to not miss out.
The details are just stunning. They’re what really amazes me. Its really hard to choose which one is the better release, for me each figure has its standout point and for Shinobu is her cuteness. Good Smile Company did a good job in maintaining that quality sure they may be one or two negative points but really unnecessary. They are all wonderful and to be appreciated. I just got this figure as well, but she remains boxed. I’m a tad bit disappointed at the quality difference between the prototype and the final product. Usually GSC figures are very close to the prototype.
It’s still a great figure though. Now I just have to find room… where do you find the space?! You live in a smaller place than I do, I’m sure!

Well, I don’t build such an elaborate setup for every figure review, but Shinobu was worth the effort.
I would do anything for this little vampire XD The figure turned out great in regards of colors and sculpting. The shading on her dress looks so pretty ^-^

I love the base of this figure. when I first saw it i was a little underwhelmed but all the character references made me really like it.
All hail the mighty Donut Queen, Ye the reference of the chara sure brought something special.
I really liked this figure of Shinobu, I got one as well. My only other Bakemonogatari figure is the one of Nadeko by GSC. Those two are definitely my favourites out of the entire lineup.
You also picked the cutest too! well add in Mayoi too ^^ I would actually rate probably Shinobu as the best adapted one.
Out of all the GSC Bakemonogatari figures Shinobu is my favorite of the bunch. I like that because of her sitting positions you can do all sorts of interesting photos with her. Plus she looks so nice and cute with that donut on her mouth.
True she is so photogenic, Is she your only Bakemonogatari figure you have?

Thank you for sharing this Fabrice. I didn’t even lay my eyes on her when I saw her promo photos. Well, I seldom watch anime so many of them are strangers to me. But, after seeing yours and Fabienne’s posts. She is definitely cute. Lovely! :D
Hi softz, good to see you back in the blogsphere. Well most tend to not know her or get her since she plays a bit part in the Bakemonogatari series, however with Nisemonogatari recently airing more and more are now getting to know her :)
