Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is considered my haven when everything...

AFA12 Report AFA sure knew how to play again with my emotion. Excitement, Happy, Nervous, Tired you name it. I just cant believe how quick it just went by. Now im left in a state where my physically exhausted, seriously I havent walked so much and quite surprising given that in terms of the quality of the main hall I thought last year edged it. In any case that didnt stop me from going round and round for like a million time. I made sure too arrive as early as I could for the first day but given that im dealing with the singaporean mindset of “Kiasu”, there was already a pile up of folks at the entrance by 7:30am! Im surprise there wasn’t a case of human crush when the door opened and everyone scrambling to get through the small doors. Booths such as Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online and Danny Choo’s Culture Japan were first hit casualties I was told.

Anyway As I made my way through the hall, I realised how difference compared to the previous year. There were of course more merch booths, but Good Smile Company, COSPA and Nico Nico Douga for example really downsized. There were a few Music related booths such as Horipro and Amuse which featured various J-pop artists and related to some of the ANISONG performers like FLOW, Babymetal, May’n and M.O.V.E who each did a autograph session. There were less cosplayers, maybe im blind but in all honesty I didnt really see as many as last year.

The stage activites were fun but again not as fun as last year the reason because AFA11 for example had guests such as ANIPLEX and the staff from the anime AnoHana who gave us exclusive behind the scenes of the famous series but also gaveaway signed goodies! Cool Japan forum was really missed too..The one activity I looked forward the most was definitely the Live dubbing session featuring SPHERE which consist of Aki Toyosaki and Tomatsu Haruka.. God like seiyuu. It was great too see them live actually showing how its done and trust me its not a walk in the park!

Finally the ANISONG concert. I only attended the Sunday one because I could only afford one night and SPHERE topped my list of priority. Lets say they were amazing, when they played Loading Sky.. I went nuts.. seeing them sing in front of you was incredible and Aki-chan is simply adorable! I heard from other comrades that Saturday was crazy and probably the best of them all, I wished I could have attended :/ Anyway all though I might have been disappointed here and there, AFA12 was still incredible the strongest line-up definitely but less on stage. I enjoyed myself, spent most of the time with comrade Radient Dreamer, was great catching up as well as all the others who I saw again and met for the first time.

Thats all guys, thank you AFA for bringing us the event this year and hope it will be back next year! AFA12 Report This is what I mean by Kiasu. AFA12 Report Danny Choo’s Culture Booth filled with Mirai and gang. AFA12 Report Pokemon makes it first appearance at AFA! AFA12 Report Anyone saw the Madoka movie yet? AFA12 Report The various madoka goodies on display. AFA12 Report Homura-chan itasha on display too. AFA12 Report The main area where you enter the booth. AFA12 Report Large anime banners on display. AFA12 Report Folks waiting in line to have the maid experience. AFA12 Report AFA shop so ever present. AFA12 Report Panasonic joins in the fun with their promotion for their new headphones. AFA12 Report A bunch of GSC goodies. AFA12 Report Sword Art Online joins the fun and was immediately hit with a wave of crowds. AFA12 Report Fan arts on sale. AFA12 Report Artist t-shirts on sale. AFA12 Report The new movie 009 Cyborg with their own booth. AFA12 Report Wave figures on display. AFA12 Report Anime bags. AFA12 Report Can also be used as a protective wall! AFA12 Report May’n performing at the HoriPro booth. AFA12 Report Cosplay on sight. AFA12 Report Lis ani magazine who covers everything music behind anime series. AFA12 Report Hang out with Rurouni Kenshin, check the new movie! AFA12 Report The many dolfie on display. AFA12 Report Danny and Yoshimi ever so present MC’ing on the Stage area. AFA12 Report Presentation of Anisong artists. AFA12 Report Had time to hang out with Asuna. AFA12 Report Cosplayers outside the festival hall. AFA12 Report Hang out with Babymetal too, Fox sign! AFA12 Report Fell in love with GSC’s Wooser! AFA12 Report Kirito suprisingly an immortal object! AFA12 Report Sailor moon still alive!

  1. Sweet BMW! And the K pics look pretty cool, too.

  2. Looks like you had great time overall at AFA, looks like a very slick but utterly packed convention. ^^

I have to queue for 3 hours to get into the cafe, when AFAID T_T

  4. Too bad that it wasn’t as much fun as last time for you.

But the Nice K stuff looks nice *stealing the Neko banner*

  6. Hey hey fellow AFA-comrade!

AFA was sure a blast! The hall was so much bigger for merchandise and it was pretty kick-ass and I grabbed a heck load of discounted stuff…but yeah GSC’s booth down-sized but Bandai’s one pretty much exploded in size. The stage activities weren’t all the engaging as well compared to last year and they even made you pay for movies..doh!

I went for both anisong days and May’N and Sphere was out of this world..I screamed especially hard for Tomatsu Haruka and May’N and even though I woke up with pains all over on Monday, it was all worth it. The cosplays weren’t that numerous but they had quality and it was a great 2 days..glad we both enjoyed ourselves!

    • Omg we didnt meet! how did I forget that you were in singapore lol
As usual the event went by flying which I didnt have time to see fellow comrades. :/
I heard about the JUMP night which sounded like it was really amazing! wish i could have gone. :/
Anyway ye all in all the event was nic, could have been better in terms of maybe stage event but maybe thats asking to much, I do agree with the cosplay that the quality was there :)
