Desk Diary 08/2012
Fabrice Requin
Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is considered my haven when everything...
Haven’t done a diary update in a long long time. Figured it would be ideal to keep you up to date with whats been going with me as well as with the blog. As you can see, Ive yet again changed my layout design for my blog, pretty indecisive right? Previously in June I unveiled what was suppose to be my “final” design that ive been working for a while. The theme was a collaboration with the design of Mirai Gaia by dannychoo, something that ive kinda longed wish to have due to its awesome functionality and easy navigation, however after those two months that passed I realised that the theme was taking a lot on the servers with the loading time taking its toll on me due to its sheer size of codes and functions behind it. End result I had to change…bummer..
Since Im back at uni for my 3rd and final year, free time was limited thus finding a gap to be able to work quickly on a new one was hard. Fortunately for me One of my assignments got pushed back a few weeks which gave me the weekend to work on it. Normally when it comes to theme making, Im super slow since well coding is generally not my thing however given the fact that ive learnt a lot while making my previous one, I was able to come up with something fast. Theres still a few changes needed here and there but overall after nearly 12 hours I felt it was already good to go. New things ive also manage to edit/touch up:
Now turning to the blog content Im just about to finish up with my Japan trip postings just one or two left. Cant believe it took me like 9 months to put up everything ^^. Next in Line for postings will be:
- Bali & Singapore trip
- Europe trip
- Continuation of Project Holo
Im not shutting the door on Japan, I did take more than 6,000 pictures during my visit, so if I find something worth posting Ill definitely do so, its just that I really want to share my other adventures.
To conclude, I recently got myself the Samsung Galaxy S3..well 3 months ago actually ^^. The phone is amazing and just glad to finally have a proper phone after having to borrow my dads blackberry and before that using my loyal Nokia.
Btw I just want to apologize to my comrades in the blogsphere for not visiting their sites, Ill start going through my reader and become active again, also another apology for the lack of response with the comments here. Dont get me wrong I really appreciate you guys commenting and reading my stuff, couldnt get any luckier! Its just.. time.. sometimes I wish a day was more than 24 hours :/ Anyway ill work hard with my time management balancing properly my blog life and study as well as real life which I normally suck at doing ^^. Thanks again and sorry for the long essay!

I have the Galaxy Nexus and its pretty nice but I do like the look of features of the S3.
Look forward to the post of Japan and more from Europe, I think I might slow down on my Japan posts because I been doing one almost every day!
Hope school wont be to bad on you, glad I graduated in May.
Hey, awesome phone. I got the same one.
I understand how hectic is it to be a final year student, but I think you’ll be fine =D
btw, S3 is one powerful phone, but I’d choose Galaxy Nexus for its pure Google experience.
Good luck with your final year!
I enjoyed your Japan posts, of course!, but I’m really looking forward to the rest of the world. After all, Japan is just outside my front door, but the rest of the world? That’s a bit further away. :)
I can understand the 24 hours not being enough. I got the Galaxy Note and love it as Samsung does have some amazing products.
Off to my blog and and answer emails :D
I’m amazed with how you keep pumping out your themes. I work as a software developer and find it much of a pain to mess with it.
Good luck with your new year at university!
Ohh man I feel you mate! And everytime I return, it just looks better and better! XD
Can’t wait for your upcoming Singapore posts…will be interesting to view my country through your lenses! =3
Good luck with your final year, Fab ^^
Ganbatte, Fabrice! Looking forward to your photos, too~
Thank you Mushyrulez!
You are right. No offense to you or Danny Choo, but both of your blog theme’s eat up a hell lots of resources, but other then that, Danny Choo’s awesome, but we all know that. Of cause, I’m liking your new blog’s theme too, clean, simple and easy. And you’re also awesome for knowing how to do all these graphic designs coding, I don’t have a single idea how to do these ^^”
Also, welcome to Android! I only got my Galaxy Note earlier this year (still halfway there with my loan payment). Hopefully could see you on some android online games, though I haven’t been playing much..
Shame you had to get do away with Danny’s theme, but the new theme is a lot more friendlier to my internet’s loading speed (Danny Choo’s site always takes ages to load for me every time I visit). lol
Time is a bummer, if a day was more than 24 hours a good chunk of us would be happier. ^^; Good luck with your final year, anyhow.
Nice to see a fellow S3 user too. Didnt bother getting the LTE version since it would prolly be expensive here in my country for the first year.
Been in a slump lately, so I havent been posting anything at all… major slump DX I like your site’s layout now
Good luck with Uni and hope to hear more from you
