Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is considered my haven when everything...

Edo style Sushi at Ginza Kyubey Kyubey is renowned in Japan for being one of top sushi restaurants, this is a place for incredible sushi. It is hard to say more than that.

When you go you have to make a reservation. Try for the sushi bar on the main floor. When you order let the sushi chef pick what you will have. They will adapt things you thought you can’t eat. You will get what is excellent that day. Being a traditional sushi bar its just a real treat to sit and watch the chefs at work and have the chef explain to you what he is doing. One sushi chef serves maybe 4 people maximum, so the service is personal and friendly. Tremendous care goes into what they make.

Excellent fish, excellent technique, and impeccable customer service. It is not cheap but in the end you will leave feeling that the money and time spent at Kyubey was worth it all. Highly recommended!

  1. Only sushi that I got was at a 100 Yen revolving counter place and I went through like 10 plates which was 20 pieces I think. Stayed pretty cheap and it wasn’t that bad haha.
I went with people I met and it was fun still haha

  2. Those really look delicious. Awww, I got hungry now. >_<

P.S. The name remind me of someone…:O

  3. Oh maaann..those look really GOOD! Ahh but you weren’t kidding when you said it wasn’t cheap…15,000++ Yen for a meal..*gasp*

  4. Wow, all of that sushi looks good. I guess I have to go give this place a visit the next time I go to Japan.

  5. Whoa, that price. I’ll skip if I ever get to Japan, cuz uh, I’d rather eat cheap. Am I the only one who half expected a Kyubey plushie appearance by the end of the post? :x

  6. OMFG – Lunch is just $190.00 USD (O_O) – outside my budget. The food however really looked tasty and having a Sushi Chef to yourself (some what) would be a killer idea.

  7. Ohhh my goodness! These all look so fresh and delicious.
