Hello and welcome to my blog. This blog is considered my haven when everything...

Sasami-san@GanbaranaiSasami-san@Ganbaranai (ささみさん@がんばらない) is a Japanese light novel series written by Akira, with illustrations by Hidari. The first volume was published in December 2009, and nine volumes have been released by Shogakukan as of September 2012. A manga adaptation has been produced, and now an anime TV series adaptation will be produced by Shaft (有限会社シャフト) and directed by Shinbou Akiyuki (昭之 新房 ). The 12 episode series will begin airing in 10/01/2013 on TBS (株式会社東京放送ホールディングス).

The story follows a hikikomori named Sasami who is unmotivated about even changing clothes or eating. Her brother takes care of her, even though she despises his slave-like nature. Sasami spends her days viewing the outside world via a “Brother Surveillance Tool” on her computer. In the outside world, the three beautiful Yagami sisters and Sasami’s brother are in the middle of relationships worthy of a romantic comedy.

Anyone a or was a hikikomori like Sasami?

This seems pretty interesting, maybe it’ll be something like NHK but more romance? considering its shaft i’m expecting something weird. In any case Shinbou/Shaft, cute hikikomori, Hidari original character designs. Sounds like a potential winner to me. Obvious watch. Sasami-san@Ganbaranai

  1. The SHAFT/Shinbou combination is enough to make me watch this. I haven’t been disappointed with their works yet so it should be good.
